Mueller’s investigation was thorough

Despite Democrats, Adam Schiff and the media’s allegations along with flat-out promises they had direct evidence of collusion, NOTHING! Robert Mueller concluded that there was no collusion and no actionable case of obstruction of justice by the president. His report was 448 pages in length. So, was the investigation thorough? Consider these undisputed facts.

• The investigation lasted 726 days, 12 hours, or about 2 years and 2 months.

• While costs are still being tabulated, the Congressional Budget Office estimated cost to the American people is between $31 million and $35 million.

• The Mueller team included a direct staff of 13 investigators.

• The special counsel also employed 19 lawyers.

• His team included approximately 40 FBI agents, intelligence analysts, forensic accountants and other professional staff.

• Mueller’s office issued more than 2,800 subpoenas.

• He executed nearly 500 search warrants.

• He requested more than 230 orders for communications records.

• He issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers. (A pen register, or dialed number recorder, is an electronic device that records all numbers called to and from a particular telephone line.)

• He made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence.

• He interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.

So ask yourself if this thorough!

You would think after this exhaustive investigation, the Democrats would be satisfied that is was thorough and they would accept the findings, especially after they themselves promoted Mueller as the right guy for the job. The investigation returned 34 indictments; 25 were citizens of foreign countries which will never be prosecuted. Not one indictment was for collusion or obstruction.

So even with all these professional resources and expense, they believe they are so much smarter and have decided to reinvestigate the matter. So we, the people, will suffer with a couple more years and millions more spent while the nation’s business goes unattended.

They already know they will find nothing. Their goal is simply to continue to build hatred in an attempt to influence the next presidential election.

So my question to you, the people, is quite simple. What will the Democrats and media do if they find nothing again? Will they apologize to Trump? Will they apologize to the American people for the waste of taxpayers’ money?

The Mueller report does not exonerate Trump

The redacted version of the Mueller report contains a great deal of important information about the Russian attacks on our democracy, the Trump campaign’s reactions to those attacks, and Donald Trump’s many efforts to obstruct justice.

The report begins by stating that: “The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion” and that the purpose of the Russian interference was to help elect Donald Trump.

How did the Trump campaign react to the Russian attacks on our democracy? The Mueller report tells us that: “The investigation also identified numerous links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign” and that “the campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts…”

The Trump campaign was quite open to receiving help from the Russian government, which was illegally attacking our democracy. Instead of notifying the FBI that a hostile foreign government was interfering in our election, Trump and his campaign welcomed their help.

Another important finding from the Mueller report is that high level Trump campaign officials lied to the FBI and to Congress about their Russian contacts. These individuals included Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn; his campaign chairman, Paul Manafort; and his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Also, Donald Trump, Jr., assisted by his father, lied about the nature of a meeting that he set up with a Russian lawyer who was promising help for the Trump campaign from the Russian government.

The second part of the Mueller report documents the many ways that Donald Trump attempted to obstruct the investigation into the Russian attacks. The report states that: “…if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment.”

Donald Trump’s claim that the Mueller report “completely exonerates” him is clearly a lie. The Mueller report contains much evidence of criminal behavior and urges that this evidence be further investigated by the Congress. The Democrats in Congress, along with a few Republicans, are making every effort to do just that. Donald Trump is making every effort to obstruct their investigations.

Trump is a clear and present danger to our democracy.
