While consuming any source of media, we are confronted daily with mass confusion about what it actually means to be a millennial. This generation seems to be an easy scapegoat for so many social no-nos. Crowded beach? Stupid millennials. Housing market down? Irresponsible millennials. Avocado toast? Silly millennials.

Interestingly enough, these blame-placing reports or articles are often inaccurate based solely on the actual age group of the people involved in them. The term “millennial” has become the go-to word when anyone wants to blame some allegedly bad behavior on the collective youth of the world. As a millennial, I’m hoping to help clear up any confusion you may have.
