While many South Haven High School winter athletes wait for the BCS conference season to begin, the varsity ski team has been allowed to hit the slopes.
The co-ed boys varsity alpine ski team opened their season with a conference race at Timber Ridge in Gobles. The team is coached by Al Dubuisson and Paul Johnson.
South Haven came in third place in both the giant slalom and slalom races. Harrison Smith paced the Rams in both races, finishing in first place. Other results follow:

The Rams traveled again Jan. 20th to Timber Ridge to compete in a Southwest Michigan Ski Conference race. As a team, the Rams finished fourth in the giant Slalom and second in the slalom race. The league consists of Caledonia, Hudsonville, Kalamazoo United, Mattawan-Paw Paw, Plainwell, Portage and South Haven.
