ST. JOSEPH — Benton Harbor used pressure defense, early hot 3-point shooting, and the low-post presence of Desrae Kyles to beat the St. Joseph 54-44 in Monday’s girls basketball game.
Kyles had 24 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and three steals as the Tigers avenged an earlier loss to St. Joseph on Dec. 6. Bears guard Jaslynn Ward scored 31 points in that game, but this time Benton Harbor was ready, employing a box-and-one to limit Ward’s touches. She finished with just 12 points Monday.
