Decatur and River Valley are set for a Division 4 regional championship showdown on Saturday in Gobles. 

The Raiders defeated Kalamazoo Christian 4-1 in a regional semifinal at Decatur. The Mustangs topped No. 2 Muskegon Catholic Central 4-3 in a regional semifinal at Holton. 

Decatur scored all of its runs in the fourth inning, led by Justin Gale’s two-run double. 

River Valley trailed 3-0 into the top of the fourth, after which the Mustangs scored in the next three innings.

Matthew Schmidt led with two singles and an RBI. Levi Strauss was the winning pitcher in relief of Schmidt.

Watervliet built a 3-0 lead but couldn’t hang on in its regional semifinal to Bronson, falling 4-3.

Garrett Matthews pitched six innings in the loss.

Andrew Chisek threw one inning, and led the offense with a triple.
