Readers of this column should keep an eye out for bald eagle nests along the St. Joseph, Paw Paw and Dowagiac rivers and Lake Michigan. One adult bald eagle was seen March 14 in St. Joseph Township near the river by Bob Conrad.

In 2019 a pair of bald eagles nested near the location of Conrad’s recent sighting, which indicates that the adults have returned for 2020.
