Lake Michigan Catholic’s boys cross country team had four freshmen in its top five runners at it finished 17th out of 27 teams in Saturday’s Division 4 state finals at Michigan International Speedway.

Freshman Bradley Mills finished 85th with a time of 18:41.73 to lead the Lakers. Senior Michael Golden was 98th in 18:51.76, followed by three more freshmen – Matthew Lage (102nd, 18:52.73), Lucas Wielens (155th, 19:31.67) and Owen McLoughlin (183rd, 20:03.89).
