ST. JOSEPH – The St. Joseph boys and girls basketball teams hosted Portage Northern in a Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division doubleheader on Tuesday, with the girls winning 52-15 and the boys falling 43-35.

The boys game was a back-and-forth affair, with St. Joseph taking a 29-28 lead into the fourth quarter. After a Conner Wright basket put the Bears up 33-32 early in the fourth, Portage Northern attacked the basket and drew fouls to put St. Joseph in the penalty. The Huskies ended the game on an 11-2 run to seal the win.
