St. Joseph and Bridgman girls swimming teams each return several veteran swimmers, but both will be depending on a bevy of underclassmen this season, which was delayed due to the impact of the coronavirus.

“This season has been unusual, we spent summer training at the beach,” said Bears coach Janet Beemer, whose squad was 6-6 last season. “We felt lucky to have Lake Michigan.”
