ST. JOSEPH — St. Joseph is favored to claim a Division 2 boys soccer district title this season, and is ready for its underdog opponents to do everything possible to make it hard to score.

That's certainly what happened in Wednesday's opener, as the Bears had to battle through a tough Sturgis defense for a 3-0 victory. St. Joseph (11-3-1) advances to play either Vicksburg or Niles next Monday at Vicksburg.
