WATERVLIET — Watervliet looked in midseason form in a 58-14 Southwestern Athletic Conference boys basketball victory over Saugatuck on Wednesday.
That wouldn't be unusual in a typical February, but the Panthers' performance was impressive considering the season just began. Watervliet (1-0 SAC Lakeshore, 1-1) was playing for the second time in three days after winter contact sports were allowed to begin games on Monday. Saugatuck (0-1, 0-1) was making its season debut.
