A male rose-breasted grosbeak is seen April 28 in Royalton Township.

The Baltimore oriole and rose-breasted grosbeak are two of the most anticipated long distant migrants to return to Southwest Michigan.

Both of these songbirds arrived back in the region after April 20 but were not commonly seen until the last two days of April.
